Wood really is beautiful and interesting. In addition to looking at it’s beauty in its natural form, there are so many things to do with it. Here are my wood pictures, not in any particular order. I love them all, except maybe the one of the me with the Dutch shoes. However, this is an important picture because of the unique way wood is used.

Love your pics, especially those giant clogs.
Thanks for visiting. I can’t imagine actually wearing wooden clogs, can you?
I bought some in Holland when I was a teenager and tried to wear them around the house, but they hurt my feet, so ended up decorating the hearth. I’m half Dutch, so I thought I should be able to wear clogs.
LOL, funny story.

Thanks for the pingback.
Awesome wood photos!! I like the dutch shoes!!
This is a new blog? It promises to be a good one. Looking forward to getting to know you.
Yes, this is a new blog. Thanks for the compliment. I was beginning to second-guess myself. I should probably link to my other one where I mention it in my “About Me.” I was at work and quickly whipped together the thought that I added to the “About Me” today.
Great pictures! I love the first one. Is that Venice? What are those wooden “sticks”?
Yes, the first picture is Venice. They are called “navigation poles,” I assume for the gondolas. Here is an interesting article about the need, and controversy surrounding, the replacement of the rotting poles. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/6408499/Venice-considers-replacing-historic-lagoon-poles.html
I vote to use the ones made of “wood that is resistant to parasites. It’s natural and it costs 30 per cent less than plastic pole”
Yes, plastic (even recycled) would just be wrong for the navigational poles.
